My Sway/Alive desk is showing error code E01
Why is your desk showing E01?
A desk continuously displaying the error code E01 signifies that there is a disconnect between the control box of your desk and one of your columns.
Resolving the issue:
Verify that all cables are properly connected to your control box, and that there are no obstructions under, above, and to the sides of the desk.
Initialize a control box reset as follows:
- Hold the Down button on your desk panel to ensure the desk is lowered to its lowest limit (whether it’s the fully retracted or a configured lower limit).
- Briefly release the Down button
- Press and hold the Down button for 5 seconds, then release.
If initialization is successful, you should see a slight up/down movement of the desk all movement should resume normally.

How can I set or delete a height limit set on my Sway/Alive desk?
Why should you set a height limit?
If you have a filing cabinet net or another accessory under your desk, you want to make sure you’ll never run into it! Same thing if your desk is under a slanted ceiling or wall-mounted accessory.
How to set and delete a height limit:
Program the UP limit:
1. Adjust the desk to the desired height limit by using the up/down arrows.
2. Press and hold the menu button and the up arrow simultaneously for 2 seconds.
3. The display will be flashing “SET UP LIMIT”.
4. Short tap the menu button to confirm the height limit.
To remove the UP limit, follow these steps:
1. Press and hold the menu button and the up arrow simultaneously for 2 seconds.
2. The display will be flashing “CLEAR UP LIMIT”.
3. Short tap the menu button to clear the height limit.
Program the DOWN limit:
1. Adjust the desk to the desired height limit by using the up/down arrows.
2. Press and hold the menu button and the down arrow simultaneously for 2 seconds.
3. The display will be flashing “SET LOW LIMIT”.
4. Short tap the menu button to confirm the height limit.
To remove the DOWN limit, follow these steps:
1. Press and hold the menu button and the down arrow simultaneously for 2 seconds.
2. The display will be flashing “CLEAR LOW LIMIT”.
3. Short tap the menu button to clear the height limit.
My Sway/Alive desk won’t move up or down anymore.
Why is my desk stuck?
If your handset shows no error codes, it is possible that a child lock was set by mistake on your desk. That would block your desk from moving in any direction!
Resolving the issue:
Verify that all cables are properly connected to your control box and that there are no obstructions under, above, and to the sides of the desk. If everything is clear, proceed with deleting a lock.
How to delete a lock:
- Press and hold the up and down arrows, as well as the menu button simultaneously for 5 seconds.
- The display will display “Unlocked”.
- The desk is now unlocked.

How do I revert my Sway/Alive desk to the factory settings?
Why do a factory reset?
A factory reset is useful if you want to delete all pre-saved positions, different users, language, and unit preferences to revert your desk to when it was when you first received it!
How to perform the factory reset:
1. Press and hold the up and down arrows simultaneously for 2 seconds.
2. The display will flash “RESET?”.
3. Short tap the menu button to confirm.
4. The countdown timer will begin “5”-> “4”-> “3”-> “2”-> “1”->“0” (*If any button is pressed during countdown the reset will be cancelled.)
The factory reset is completed. The desk will reboot into the first startup mode, where you have to select and save your language preference.
My Sway/Alive desk is showing error code E93
Why is your desk showing E93?
E93 normally displays if the desk has detected a collision. It will appear on your handset when your desk hits your chair, knee, or any other obstacles. It can also appear if you are holding onto your surface when it is in movement.
Resolving the issue:
Check under, above, and to the sides of the desk to ensure there are no obstacles that could prevent the movement of your desk. Also, beware of holding on or touching your desk while it is in movement.
If the above-listed concerns are cleared, verify if your control box is properly screwed under your desk. A loose control box can trigger that error code.
